Responsible Manufacturing

Sustainability & Compliance

Precision manufacturing and responsible manufacturing go hand in hand. From how we run our facility to how we source our materials, MJM operates to standards our customers — and their auditors — can count on.

Environmental Practices

Built Efficient, Run Responsibly

100% Metal Recycling

All scrap metal generated in our fabrication process is recycled — steel, stainless, and aluminum returned to the supply stream rather than sent to landfill.

Pallet & Cardboard Recycling

Shipping pallets and cardboard packaging are recycled and reused wherever possible, reducing waste across our shipping and receiving operations.

Paperless Operations

MJM transitioned to fully paperless operations years ago — from quoting to barcoded shop travelers — cutting paper waste and improving traceability at the same time.

On-Site Nitrogen Generation

We generate our own high-purity nitrogen on site for laser cutting — eliminating the constant delivery trucks and cylinder transport that bottled gas requires.

LED Facility Lighting

Our 44,000 sq ft facility has been converted to energy-efficient LED lighting throughout, replacing the original fixtures shop-wide.

Water Conservation

Reduced-flow fixtures throughout the facility, plus rainwater collection used in our tumbling and finishing operations, lower our overall water draw.

Responsible Fluid Handling

Shop fluids, lubricants, and coolants are stored safely and recycled or disposed of through proper channels, in line with environmental best practices.

Made in USA Since 1979

Domestic manufacturing under one roof keeps our supply chain short and our footprint local — no offshore production, no long-haul global shipping.

Supplier Compliance

A Supplier You Can Approve With Confidence

Corporate and OEM customers hold their supply chains to strict standards. MJM is built to meet them — so onboarding us as an approved supplier is straightforward, and the documentation you need is ready when you ask.

Conflict Minerals (CMRT)

MJM Manufacturing supports our customers’ conflict minerals due diligence under SEC Rule 13p-1. The base materials we fabricate — steel, stainless steel, and aluminum — are not among the “3TG” conflict minerals (tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold), and we source from established, reputable material suppliers.

When required, we complete the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) — using the current Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) revision — and return it promptly to support your reporting obligations. Just include the request with your order or reach out to our team.

Certifications & Documentation

MJM maintains 17 independent certifications including AS9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR registration, and provides material certifications and traceability documentation with your order. Our quality system is built to support the audits and supplier requirements of demanding corporate, OEM, and government customers. See our capabilities statement →

Need Our Compliance Documentation?

Whether you need a CMRT completed, material certifications, or our certifications on file for supplier onboarding — just ask. We’ll get it back to you promptly.
