Capabilities & Services
What does MJM Manufacturing do?
MJM Manufacturing is a full-service precision sheet metal fabrication and OEM manufacturing company located in Miami, Florida. We specialize in laser cutting, CNC turret punching, press brake forming, TIG welding, MIG welding, spot welding, CNC machining, milling, plating, silk screening, deburring, hardware insertion, and assembly — all under one roof in our 44,000 sq ft facility. As a turn-key manufacturer, we also coordinate powder coating, painting, and other finishing through trusted partners so your parts arrive complete and ready to use. We serve aerospace, defense, robotics, data center, OEM, and architectural industries across the United States.
Is MJM Manufacturing a one-stop shop?
Yes. MJM Manufacturing is a fully integrated turn-key manufacturer. Your project goes from blueprint to finished product under our management — we handle fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, and coordinate finishing services like powder coating and plating through vetted partners. You deal with one company, one point of contact, and one quality standard from start to finish. This eliminates the delays and quality risks of managing multiple vendors yourself.
Does MJM Manufacturing do aerospace work?
Yes. MJM Manufacturing has decades of experience in precision aerospace sheet metal fabrication. We have long-standing relationships with Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems, L3 Harris, Bell Textron, and Goodrich. Our facility is ITAR registered, ISO 9001 certified, and AS9100 certified — the quality standards required for aerospace and defense manufacturing. We produce components and assemblies for aerospace customers from prototype through full production.
Does MJM do prototypes or only production runs?
Both. MJM Manufacturing supports the full manufacturing lifecycle — from a single prototype part to medium and high-volume production runs. Many of our clients start with a prototype to validate a design, then transition to ongoing production with MJM. Our computerized quoting, scheduling, and tracking systems handle both efficiently. There is no minimum order quantity for a quote — contact us and we will review your project.
Does MJM Manufacturing offer powder coating?
Yes — as part of our turn-key service offering. MJM coordinates powder coating through trusted finishing partners, managing the process on your behalf so you don’t have to deal with a separate vendor. Your parts go out for powder coating and come back finished, inspected, and ready to ship to you. We also offer painting, plating, silk screening, part marking, and etching. Specify your finishing requirements when requesting a quote and we will confirm pricing and lead time.
What types of welding does MJM offer?
MJM Manufacturing offers TIG welding, MIG welding, and spot welding. Our certified welders handle structural assemblies, aerospace components, and production fabrication. TIG welding is used for precision aerospace and structural work requiring clean, high-quality welds. MIG welding is used for structural and higher-volume production fabrication. Spot welding is used for sheet metal assemblies requiring fast, consistent resistance welds.
Does MJM offer engineering and design assistance?
Yes. MJM Manufacturing has a highly qualified engineering department that can provide design for manufacturability (DFM) review and engineering support. If you have a drawing, we will review it for manufacturability and flag any issues before production begins. If you have a concept or rough sketch, our team can help develop it into a producible design. We work with standard CAD file formats and can accommodate a wide range of engineering documentation.
What industries does MJM Manufacturing serve?
MJM Manufacturing serves aerospace, defense, robotics, data centers, OEM manufacturing, and architectural industries across the United States. Our client list includes Fortune 500 companies, defense contractors, government programs, and commercial manufacturers. We have served customers from Miami and South Florida as well as nationally, with parts shipped across the country from our 44,000 sq ft Miami facility.

DBE certification is recognized by federal and state transportation and government agencies and is required for supplier participation in many government-funded projects and programs. Combined with our minority-owned small business certification, MJM qualifies for a wide range of supplier diversity, set-aside, and subcontracting requirements on government and commercial programs.
Is MJM a minority-owned or small business?
Yes. MJM Manufacturing is a certified Hispanic American owned small business, founded by Mike Mijares in 1979. We are recognized as a Small Business Concern by the SBA and hold DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) certification. These certifications qualify MJM for supplier diversity programs, government small business set-aside contracts, and subcontracting requirements with large prime contractors. If your procurement program has small business, minority-owned, or DBE supplier requirements, MJM qualifies.
What is MIL-I-45208A and does MJM comply?
MIL-I-45208A is a military standard for inspection system requirements. It covers the documentation, inspection procedures, and process controls required for manufacturing defense and government components. MJM Manufacturing maintains MIL-I-45208A compliance as part of our quality management system. This standard, combined with our AS9100 and ISO 9001 certifications, gives defense contractors and government programs the confidence they need when qualifying MJM as a supplier.
How does MJM Manufacturing handle nonconforming parts and warranty?
Upon delivery of completed parts, customers have 30 days to notify MJM Manufacturing of any parts that were not made to print or that have a quality issue. If a nonconformance is identified within that window, contact us immediately at sales@mjmmfg.com or (305) 620-2020. MJM will provide full inspection reports documenting the issue and work with you to rework or replace the nonconforming parts. Do not return parts without first contacting us — we will issue a Return Material Authorization (RMA) and guide you through the process.

Section 04
Materials & Finishing
What materials does MJM Manufacturing work with?
MJM Manufacturing works with a wide range of metals and materials including stainless steel, galvanized steel, cold rolled steel (CRS), hot roll steel (HRS), aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, titanium, and beryllium copper. We also work with non-metallic materials including Lexan, G-10 epoxy board, Mylar, Formex, Delrin, nylon, plexiglass, phenolics, Teflon, expanded metals, perforated metals, and tin plated steel. If you have a specific material requirement not listed, contact us at sales@mjmmfg.com to discuss.
What finishing services does MJM offer?
As a turn-key manufacturer, MJM offers a complete range of finishing services. In-house we provide silk screening, part marking, etching, and plating. For powder coating, painting, and anodizing, we coordinate with trusted finishing partners on your behalf — you deal with MJM only, not a separate finishing vendor. Your parts are managed through our quality system from raw material to finished product. Specify your finishing requirements when requesting a quote at sales@mjmmfg.com.
Does MJM provide raw material or does the customer supply it?
MJM Manufacturing provides raw material for the vast majority of projects. We maintain stock of commonly used sheet metal materials and order custom-cut stock for specific jobs to minimize waste and optimize cost. If your project has special material traceability requirements — such as certified material test reports (MTRs) for aerospace or defense programs — let us know when requesting a quote and we will accommodate those requirements in our procurement process.
Does MJM do laser cutting or CNC punching — and how do you decide which?
MJM Manufacturing has both CNC fiber laser cutting and CNC turret punching capabilities in-house. The choice between laser cutting and CNC punching depends on the geometry of your part, the material, the volume, and the finishing requirements. Laser cutting is ideal for complex geometries and tight tolerances. CNC turret punching is often more cost-effective for high-volume runs with standard hole patterns. Our engineering team will recommend the optimal process for your specific part when quoting.
