Laser Cutting

MJM Manufacturing operates five Amada laser cutting systems — four fiber lasers and one CO2 laser — giving us one of the largest laser cutting capacities of any sheet metal fabricator in South Florida. Our fiber laser systems deliver faster cutting speeds, cleaner cut edges, and tighter tolerances than traditional CO2 technology, particularly on aluminum and stainless steel. Welding

MJM Manufacturing operates one of the most advanced welding departments in South Florida — with nine 2kW IPG fiber laser welders, three Sciaky resistance spot welders ranging from 75 KVA to 200 KVA, and a full complement of certified TIG and MIG welding stations. Our welders hold AWS D1.1, D1.2, D9.1M, and D17.1 certifications — including Lockheed Martin program approval under AWS D17.1 aerospace welding standards and Lloyd’s Register approval (LR 33932). Our welding capabilities support precision aerospace assemblies, defense structural fabrication, and high-volume production welding for OEM and industrial customers.

AWS D1.2 Structural Welding Code — Aluminum. Required for structural aluminum welding on aerospace, defense, and industrial assemblies. Includes qualified WPS and PQR documentation. GMAW / GTAW
AWS D9.1M Sheet Metal Welding Code. Specifically covers welding of sheet metal components — the primary standard for precision sheet metal fabrication welding. MJM holds qualified WPS and PQR documentation to AWS D9.1M. GMAW / GTAW
AWS D17.1 Aerospace Fusion Welding Standard. Required for welding aerospace structures and components. MJM holds AWS D17.1 certification with Lockheed Martin program approval — one of the most demanding aerospace welding qualifications in the industry. GMAW / GTAW

Section 03

Forming & Bending

MJM Manufacturing operates nine Amada forming machines and three Knuth plate rollers — one large-format 14-foot press brake, six RG 80 CNC bending machines, two EG 4010 servo-electric forming machines, and Knuth rollers in 3-foot, 4-foot, and 7-foot widths for cylindrical and curved components. All press brake and forming equipment is Amada, ensuring consistent tooling compatibility, offline programming, and repeatable bend accuracy across our entire forming department. Forming is one step of our complete in-house fabrication services.

Section 04

CNC Turret Punching

MJM Manufacturing operates the Amada AE 2610NT CNC turret punch press for high-speed sheet metal punching, perforating, forming, and blanking. CNC turret punching is ideal for production runs with standard hole patterns, louvers, knockouts, embosses, and complex perforations — often more cost-effective than laser cutting for medium to high volume parts with repeating features.

MJM Manufacturing uses the Amada Fabri-Vision automated optical inspection system for fast, accurate dimensional inspection of laser cut and punched parts. The Fabri-Vision replaces manual dimensional inspection — scanning parts in minutes and delivering full dimensional reports with pass/fail results against CAD data. This technology ensures zero-defect quality control across our production operations and supports the inspection documentation requirements of aerospace and defense programs.
