A chassis is the backbone of an electronic system — it holds the boards, the power supply, the connectors, and the thermal management, and it has to do it with the precision that lets everything else fit and function. At MJM Manufacturing, chassis and power supply fabrication is some of our favorite and most refined work: tight-tolerance sheet metal that becomes the structural heart of a finished product.
For 47 years, we’ve fabricated electronic chassis, power supply enclosures, and rack-mount hardware for OEMs, data center and telecom equipment makers, medical instrument manufacturers, and defense electronics programs. We handle the full build in-house — laser cutting, CNC forming, welding, hardware insertion, finishing, and assembly — so your chassis arrives complete, inspected, and ready to populate.

What We Build
Electronic Equipment Chassis
Structural sheet metal chassis that house circuit boards, connectors, and internal components. We hold the tolerances that matter for board mounting, connector cutouts, and panel alignment — with PEM hardware, standoffs, and cage nuts installed and ready for assembly. Whether it’s a standalone instrument chassis or a subassembly inside a larger system, we build it to spec.
Power Supply Enclosures & Chassis
Power supply chassis carry their own demands — ventilation and thermal management, clean grounding paths, connector and cable access, and durable finishes that hold up in service. We fabricate power supply enclosures with the cutouts, louvers, mounting features, and hardware they need, and we can advise on finish and masking so grounding and contact areas stay conductive where required.
Rack-Mount & 19″ Rack Hardware
Standard and custom 19″ rack-mount chassis, panels, and hardware for data center, telecom, and industrial equipment. We fabricate to rack-unit (U) standards with the mounting-hole patterns, front panels, and slide-rail features your system needs — and adapt easily to custom depths and configurations for specialized equipment.
Brackets, Panels & Precision Components
Chassis rarely travel alone. We also fabricate the brackets, mounting plates, front and rear panels, gussets, and small precision components that go with them — the parts that hold boards, mount power supplies, secure connectors, and tie an assembly together. These are exactly the kind of tight-tolerance, repeatable pieces our equipment and process are built for, whether you need a handful of prototypes or a low-volume production run alongside your chassis.
Because we do brackets and components in the same shop as the chassis they support, you get one supplier, one point of accountability, and parts that fit together the first time — instead of chasing multiple vendors and hoping the tolerances line up.
Built for Prototype and Low-Volume Work
One of the hardest things for an engineering team to find is a fabricator who will do prototype and low-volume chassis work at production quality — without the runaround. That’s exactly where MJM excels. We take a drawing or a rough concept and turn it into a precise, finished chassis, whether you need one prototype, a first article, or a low-volume run.
Because we run five Amada laser systems, nine forming machines, and full welding and finishing in-house, we can move quickly on low-quantity jobs and scale the same design into higher volumes when your product takes off. Our design-for-manufacturability review catches cost and fit issues early — which matters most on prototypes, where getting it right the first time saves real time.
Materials & Capabilities
• Materials: aluminum, cold-rolled and stainless steel, galvanized/galvanneal, copper, and brass
• Laser cutting with clean, oxide-free nitrogen-cut edges
• CNC forming for precise bends, flanges, and panel geometry
• Welding — fiber laser, TIG, MIG, and spot welding for chassis assemblies
• Hardware insertion — PEM fasteners, standoffs, and cage nuts
• Finishing — powder coat, anodize, plating, and masking for grounding paths
• Inspection — CMM, optical, and automated scanning with FAI documentation
