Mike Mijares — Founder & CEO
In 1979, Mike Mijares started MJM Manufacturing in a two-car garage in Miami Gardens, Florida with a single machine, a relentless work ethic, and a commitment to delivering precision sheet metal fabrication that clients could depend on. He had 22 accounts.
Over the next four decades, Mike reinvested every dollar back into the business — buying better equipment, hiring skilled craftsmen, and building long-term relationships with demanding customers across industrial and OEM manufacturing, data centers, robotics, and aerospace and defense — from Fortune 500 corporations to local businesses. Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, IBM, Motorola, and Cubic among them.
Today MJM operates from a 44,000 sq ft precision manufacturing facility with over 80 employees, five Amada laser cutting systems, nine IPG fiber laser welders, and 17 independent certifications — including AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR registration, and Lloyd’s Register LR 33932.
Mike remains actively involved as CEO, bringing 47 years of precision fabrication expertise to every program MJM supports.
Alexander Mijares — COO & Head of Sales
Alexander Mijares didn’t inherit a desk — he earned one. Growing up, Alexander spent every summer working on the shop floor at MJM — running machines, learning fabrication processes, and developing a hands-on understanding of precision manufacturing from the inside out. He learned what quality looked like not from a manual, but from the craftsmen who built MJM’s reputation over decades.
After years working throughout the factory, Alexander transitioned into the office — bringing that shop floor knowledge into business development, sales, and operations. He holds an Executive MBA from Florida International University (FIU), combining deep manufacturing expertise with modern business strategy.
As COO and Head of Sales, Alexander has driven MJM’s growth from 22 accounts to over 600 active customers — expanding into new industries, building MJM’s digital presence, and positioning the company for the next generation of precision manufacturing.

1980s – 1990s

MJM grows steadily through reinvestment in equipment and people. The company earns major OEM and industrial accounts alongside aerospace and defense work — Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, IBM, Motorola, and more. A reputation for precision, reliability, and on-time delivery begins to define MJM in the South Florida market.
2000s
Alexander Joins — Shop Floor to Office
Alexander Mijares begins working summers on the MJM shop floor as a young man — running machines, learning every fabrication process, and developing the hands-on manufacturing knowledge that will shape his future leadership. He learns MJM’s quality standards not from textbooks, but from the craftsmen who built the company.
2010s
44,000 Sq Ft Facility · Certifications · Laser Fleet Expansion
MJM moves into its current 44,000 sq ft precision manufacturing facility. Investment in Amada laser cutting systems, CNC press brakes, and IPG fiber laser welders accelerates production capacity. The company achieves ISO 9001 and begins the process of AS9100 quality certification. ITAR registration is maintained and expanded.
Alexander — Executive MBA, FIU
Shop Floor Knowledge Meets Business Strategy
After years working throughout the factory, Alexander transitions into the office. He earns his Executive MBA from Florida International University (FIU) — combining his deep hands-on manufacturing knowledge with advanced business strategy, operations management, and leadership skills. He becomes COO and Head of Sales.
